Remembrance Sunday brought a moment of quiet reflection and shared respect for one of our drivers at Total Environmental Services, part of the Qualitech Group.

While attending an emergency environmental call-out in Malton, one of our rigid 6-wheeler tankers — proudly wrapped in Hull 4 Heroes charity livery — happened to be on site as the nation paused for the two minutes’ silence.

In a touching moment, our driver respectfully stopped and joined in the silence from the cab. Nearby veterans, noticing the tanker’s Hull 4 Heroes design, turned to salute him in return.

It was an unexpected but deeply moving exchange — a simple gesture that captured the spirit of Remembrance Sunday and the enduring connection between those who serve and the communities who support them.
